Yes, it's me in the picture. I have been surfing long enough to have a few photos that make it appear that I am a better surfer than I actually am. That picture was taken somewhere in Chile.
Discovery, play, physicality and intimacy are what make me feel juiced. For me that means learning new things (like singing which has been terrifying), spending time in nature looking for those magical spots that blow my mind, pushing my body athletically, and trying to be as vulnerable and transparent as possible. I appreciate and respect the radicals, artists, revolutionaries and free thinkers of the world.
Some cool things I have done include meditating for 12 hours a day for six weeks straight, starting a sustainable-environmentally conscious clothing company before sustainability was a buzzword (sadly we went out of business), being one of the first people to sell skateboards online, and drinking horse milk beer with Mongolian nomads.
My day job is practicing Acupuncture and Functional Medicine in San Francisco.
Lastly, I do my best to approach life in a humble and open way.
