Hi, I'm Jonah Larkin.
Bio’s are tough because they’re designed to create an impression. I'd rather we get to know each other a little better.
I’ve spent my life moving between worlds that don’t usually talk to each other. Sports and spirituality, high performance and deep introspection, business results and human truth, discipline and play. These are all sides that I've loved and grappled with.
I've also made a lot of mistakes. And by making mistakes I learned some lessons I'd love to share with you.

“Not only did Jonah support me to safely navigate where I had been sabotaging myself, he helped me to identify my superpower, let go of the tethers that had felt like umbilicals, and distill the chaos to meaning and purpose. ”

I started out as an entrepreneur selling NFL football pencils in 4th grade. Later I learned what it feels like to fail when my first real business (an environmentally sustainable clothing line) crashed and burned after raising money. It was painful, working my butt off to see everything dissappear or watching an investors face fall flat when they were told we were folding the company.
Those early experiences taught me about business, managing people, product-market fit, and the importance of teamwork.
In my early twenties I started and grew a small retail business into a successful online platform that was competing with giants like Zappos in their early days. However, I faced a pivotal decision: when to sell. Looking back, I sometimes regret that I didn't hold on longer and leverage the tech we'd built to create something even greater.
But that decision led me down a new path, one that I am profoundly grateful for today.
PRIOR TO MY COACHING LIFE I WAS AN ENTREPRENEUR.
After a successful sale and exit from my company, I went on a round-the-world journey of self discovery that led me to the realization that I was put on this earth to heal.
I started by becoming a licensed acupuncturist and helped clients with everything from obesity to chronic fatigue and pain. I collected numerous other health certifications, including in nutrition and fitness.
And then one day I had a moment of revelation after a client said to me that the reason she kept coming back was because of the conversations we were having. She told me I had helped to change her life not just nutritionally, but holistically as a whole.
I helped her to see patterns that she could not see, which changed all areas of her life.

It was around the same time that I “accidentally” landed a facilitator position at the famed Interpersonal Dynamics Program at Stanford University, Graduate School of Business where I lead groups of MBA students to build personal effectiveness and self awareness.
At that stage, the writing on the wall was clear: it was time to become an executive coach. I had discovered my passion lay in guiding others toward success and have been doing that ever since.
I now equip wildly ambitious leaders and teams with the tools and guidance to create positive change, not just in their organizations but in the world at large.
I've been fortunate to work with high-growth executives at companies like Turo, Discord, Alltrails, AWS and more. I’ve worked with professional athletes and top executives from major corporations like Wells Fargo. I also moonlight as the head leadership columnist for TechStars, which allows me to share my insights and contribute to the growth of the tech industry as a whole.
I specialize in leadership coaching and consulting because I believe in a world where the greatest minds of our time collaborate to find solutions, much like we did to achieve the moon landing, which is an example of what we can achieve when our greatest minds work together.
